IDP Education is part owner of IELTS, the world's leading English proficiency test, in conjunction with the British Council and Cambridge University. More than 1 million people from 44 countries take the IELTS each year. Today the IELTS is recognized by 6,000 organizations globally inclusive of over 2,000 U.S. universities, colleges, and professional associations.

IDP Education is now jointly owned by 38 Australian universities and SEEK Limited, Australia's leading online employment and training company. In the 40 years since IDP's establishment there has been a five-fold increase in the number of international students in higher education around the world.
