IDP's General
Communication Skills courses are for people who need a broad
development of their English language ability for a range of
general situations.
While the courses highlight production skills (speaking and
writing) the training takes a 'four-skills' approach and also
develops reading and listening skills.
Courses are offered from Elementary to Advanced levels of
English. The courses provide grammatical input to underpin the
language taught in the classroom.
Functions practised range from greeting people, talking about
jobs and giving personal information at lower levels of study, to
discussing newspaper articles, giving opinions and hypothesizing at
higher levels.
